The Dying Of Swan Lake

About the ballet...

"The Energies of our system will decay. The glory of the sun will be dimmed, and the earth, tideless and inert, will no longer tolerate the race which has for a moment disturbed its solitude."

And thus we begin our journey to Swan Lake where in the beginning, nature, and perfect peace reign, and all is in harmony. However, in time, something has come along that threatens the very existence of the swans and even the Lake itself. The energies fall out of balance, and the struggle arises that may help to set the lake back on to its harmonic course. Our ballet serves to bring questions of a deeper level and demands that we see ourselves when we have forgotten everything except our own egotistical, self serving ends which can only result in chaos, confusion and the deterioration of everything around us. What is the way in which we can strive as individuals to go forward to our new world, where once again, all are in harmony, unified and truly together- regardless of what differences may appear on the surface. Perhaps it is not until each of us takes our responsibility  to find our way to work with one another that the Lake and all that co-exist within it, can indeed be set on a course where peace will reign once again.
