Marius Petipa’s masterpiece Sleeping Beauty, set to Tchaikovsky's epic score, is undoubtedly a major undertaking, with a huge cast, and elaborate costumes; but American Liberty Ballet is excited to present this company-led staging of the classical ballet.
In the spirit of collaboration, the NYC and NJ based company, which started in 2011, will present Sleeping Beauty alongside internationally renowned dancers Analia Farfan and Jonatan Lujan. While ALB has mounted several full-length ballets over the last decade, this is their first attempt at a completely classical Petipa ballet. Sleeping Beauty is perhaps one of the best of the classics and American Liberty Ballet is honored to awaken her!
